The first step is to connect with a ReCoverCA HBA Lender. These lenders will explain program policies, eligibility requirements, furnish interest rates and APRs — and many offer assistance in multiple languages to help you feel confident and supported throughout the process.
Applicants do not apply directly through GSFA. Applications for the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program are submitted through approved participating lenders, who will:
- Confirm eligibility
- Evaluate and approve the mortgage loan
- Submit funding reservation requests
- Guide applicants through the mortgage and homebuying process
Important Information: Funding availability varies by allocation and is subject to change. Program policies and eligiblity requirements apply. Eligibility screening allows you to apply, but funding is subject to final approval and availability.
